Rescue Me ID: 17-08-16-00147Lilly (female)

Beagle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

y is not a greyhound. She and another dog that we named Rosco, were dumped at a horse farm in our area and mutual friends brought them to us. We hope to move them from Friends of Greyhounds' location to another dog adoption group. Meantime, if someone is interested, they are available. They are being cared for by one of our adopters in the Plantation area as greyhound kennels wouldn't work for them. They are doing just great. Lilly seems to be very young. I'd guess her to be about 8 months old. Probably almost full grown in size but not at all matured. Lilly is a pretty & playful little girl. She looks like she may have some beagle in ... (Read More)her. Her partner has some injuries but Lilly is just fine. She'll be a fun and funny dog, happy, energetic and then bam! she needs a nap!! Great dog for a family. We need a home for these dogs as quickly as possible. We need to concentrate on our Greyhound rescue and we are not set up for these smaller dogs. They have been to the vet and we will get the dogs spayed and neutered before they go into homes. Lilly is much cuter these photos show. She wants to be moving around the yard or visiting with you or doing something all the time - which makes photography difficult! And Lilly was a little too interested in the foster dad's cat so she may not be cat tolerant. You can arrange to meet Rosco and Lilly (the dog that was found with her) by calling us at 954-578-0072. If we are not around, the recording will give you my cell number. Rosco and Lilly are currently being fostered in Plantation. You can also email us at fogdogs@comcast.net We'd love to hear from you! (yes they can be adopted separately or together!!) (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-16-00141Rosco (male)

Greyhound    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

Rosco is not a greyhound. He and another dog that we named Lily, were dumped at a horse farm in our area and mutual friends brought them to us. They are being cared for by one of our adopters in the Plantation area as greyhound kennels wouldn't work for them. They are doing just great. Rosco seems to be young. I'd guess Rosco to be about 8 or 9 months old. Full grown but not at all matured. Rosco is 'slightly imperfect'. His head and face have been mauled. Don't know if he was used as a bait dog ... (Read More)or if what we are seeing is remains of untreated road rash. The patch on his head was raw and bloody a few days ago so it is still healing. The area on the side of his face and mouth, looks like an older injury. I don't think either injury is very old and may still be healing and may get less and less noticeable. The injury to his face does NOT slow him down at dinnertime. He'll be a fun and funny dog as he heals and grows. Rosco is a happy, energetic guy and will be great fun for a family. We need a home for these dogs as quickly as possible. We need to concentrate on our Greyhound rescue and we are not set up for these smaller dogs. They have been to the vet. Rosco is heartworm positive. We have begun the treatment but it is a long process. We will gladly provide the medication for the entire treatment (it's just pills) if you adopt Rosco. (bonus- the medication covers heartworm prevention too for the 4 months of treatment) Rosco has a great personality and is very energetic and playful. He's about 30 pounds (i'm guessing) and about 20 inches high (floor to ear tips). He wants to be moving around the yard or visiting with you or doing something all the time - which makes photography difficult! He was a little too interested in his foster dad's cat so he may not be cat tolerant. You can arrange to meet Rosco and Lilly (the dog that was found with him) by calling us at 954-578-0072.
